Ranjit Shastri – Partner PSI (New Delhi, India)

 

Ranjit Shastri has served a broad range of clients in developing corporate strategies, forging cross-border alliances, and enhancing performance through global sourcing and organizational effectiveness. He has helped major international corporations determine the most appropriate strategy to take advantage of opportunities in India in an era of reduced import duties, increased international competition, and domestic deregulation.

Mr. Shastri serves on the boards of several companies, including that of Vickers Systems India Ltd., a subsidiary of Eaton Corporation (NYSE: ETN).  He is also a director of and investor in two fast growing IT-enabled service companies, SmartAnalyst Inc. and DesignPresentation Associates, Inc.

Prior to joining PSi, Mr. Shastri spent several years as a management consultant with McKinsey & Company in New York, and Bain & Co. in Boston. He holds an M.B.A. with honors from the Wharton School, and a B.Sc. with honors in applied mathematics from Yale University.

Mr. Shastri has an interest in game theory and competitive strategies. He also enjoys writing, and regularly reaches approximately 520,000 readers through two monthly columns: “GamePlan” in BusinessWorld (India’s leading business magazine); and “Money & Business” in the in-flight magazine of Indian Airlines. He has also contributed to numerous other publications, including Business Today, The Economic Times, Business Standard, and the Economist.
